Dissemination of NextGen: EmployAbility (4-C, Greece)

Over the course of the program, participants took part in a variety of hands-on workshops, discussions, group tasks, and interactive sessions. These activities were designed to not only build technical and soft skills but also to foster intercultural dialogue and strengthen personal growth. Each day included both structured learning and informal bonding opportunities such as cultural evenings and late-night conversations.

The activity was a 10-day Erasmus+ youth mobility project organized in collaboration with Initiative Sociale, Hellenic Youth Participation, and 4C NGO. It brought together young people and youth workers from different countries to engage in an immersive learning experience focused on youth employability, digital skills, and personal development.

The program used non-formal education methods, including experiential learning, peer-to-peer sharing, team-building exercises, group reflections, roleplaying, and creative problem-solving tasks. These methods encouraged active participation, collaboration, and critical thinking, allowing participants to learn by doing rather than through passive instruction.

The program focused on key issues affecting young people today, such as how to improve employability, how to develop relevant digital competencies, and the importance of personal and professional development. Participants discussed how to apply these skills in real-life scenarios and explored the role of youth work in supporting these areas. Personal stories, challenges, and aspirations were openly shared, creating a space of trust and learning.

A major insight was the importance of creating a safe, inclusive environment that encourages vulnerability, creativity, and authenticity. The late-night conversations and informal moments between structured sessions often led to some of the most powerful reflections and connections. These moments helped deepen relationships and allowed participants to express themselves freely, which in turn enriched the overall group dynamic and strengthened the sense of community.

This Erasmus+ journey highlighted the power of community, the impact of experiential learning, and the deep value of intercultural understanding. Participants returned home not only with new skills and knowledge but also with greater self-awareness, a broader worldview, and a renewed sense of motivation. The program served as a strong reminder that learning doesn't only happen in classrooms—it thrives in connection, challenge, and shared experience.

The 10-day Erasmus+ project, organized by Initiative Sociale and partners, united youth from various countries to build skills in employability, digital literacy, and personal growth. Through nonformal methods like workshops, group tasks, and cultural exchange, participants gained confidence, developed key competencies, and formed strong intercultural bonds—returning home inspired, empowered, and ready to apply what they learned.

The Erasmus+ project with Initiative Sociale showed how experiential learning and intercultural exchange boost youth development. Using non-formal methods, it improved skills in employability, digital tools, and teamwork. Safe spaces, strong facilitation, and creative materials led to deep reflection, confidence, and connection. Participants left more skilled, selfaware, and inspired.
