During my Erasmus+ experience, I participated in a project called NEXTGEN: Employability, which aimed to enhance the skills of young people for finding jobs.
In this project, we engaged in a variety of activities designed to enhance employability skills among young participants. These activities included workshops, group projects, and interactive sessions focused on entrepreneurship and teamwork.
During the local dissemination I explained these things to my classmates through no formal education and thanks to the dissemination it also started a discussion about the topic and about our country's situation. We talked about the fact that most of the young students graduated but they are still searching for a good job or if they find it there are different challenges that they have to face. All this situation doesn’t help for sure the others that are still studying and probably they think “Why am I studying if I will not find a job?” and this was so sad for all of us. I was very surprised about it, about the ideas that came out. I’m very happy about it because at the beginning I was a little bit scared of annoying them, instead they were very interested about my experience and the presentation helped a lot. I think it’s very important to talk about this kind of topic because it’s not a joke but it’s real life, our future. Thanks to the presentation they saw directly how an erasmus+ project works, all the conditions and the pictures during the activities. After everything they also asked me questions on how to apply to this kind of project because most of them didn’t know about this kind of opportunity.
During the dissemination phase, we gathered valuable feedback and insights that allowed us to better understand the impact of the project. Some key points include: recognizing the value of the entrepreneurial and teamwork skills acquired during the project; the strong demand for further training and professional development opportunities, especially in areas such as entrepreneurship and project management; cultural diversity was seen as a significant asset, enhancing participants' ability to work in international environments. The dissemination of the NEXTGEN: Employability project highlighted the importance of continuing to promote similar initiatives. It is essential to invest in programs that not only improve the skills of young people but also prepare them to become globally aware and competent citizens. Additionally, collaboration between different institutions and countries has proven to be a key to success for the project and should be encouraged in the future. In conclusion, the dissemination of the NEXTGEN: Employability project was a success, thanks to the collaboration and commitment of all participants involved. I am confident that the skills and knowledge acquired will continue to benefit the young participants and the communities in which they live.
